I ran casinos for 20 years. Everyone knows the casino never loses in the end. The casino gambler doesn't care. Crypto gamblers are the same types. If its for fun/entertainment, that's fine, but if you think you're going to beat the "house" in the long run, you're fooling yourself.

End of a beautiful day in the mountains. Looking west over the continental divide.

I love seeing the GN and GM notes consecutively.
Apex valley curves due north along the divide. A beautiful day in the mountains. ๐ค

When onboarding friends.
The younger they are, you have to quickly show success. The youth are so gamified that a level 1 accomplished is necessary to move to the next level.
The older they are, you have to show how it's not much different than what they do now. The elder are resistant to change and need familiarity.
In both cases a WoS is a good fit. Going to your email to get a code is a simple level 1 task for the young and sending something via an email address looking thing is good for the the older group.
The rabbit hole has many levels, and getting someone their first SATs easily while using lived experiences is a good start for many.

If you are high up in the banking industry, the book "Creature from Jekyll Island" is a beautifully written story that you can pass down to your kids as part of your legacy.
To everyone else it's sickening.
I have stopped following anyone on Twitter that doesn't have a nostr npub. I don't respect or trust anyone resistant to nostr.
Pushed some snow this morning.

I like how the first bitcoiner uses the word "attack" and "trust" 40 times in the original white paper.
Satoshi knew central backers would fight to keep power, and bitcoin is designed to withstand attacks and stand as a trusted decentralized system for the rest of us.
No government or big bank has ever stopped bitcoin, and they never will.
A peaceful GM to my nostr friends. โโ๏ธ

Could you imagine the belief that a captain would have to exude to a crew when crossing the ocean without weather forecasts.
Everything can be boiled down to the risk/reward calculation. Probability runs the show.
