this might be one of those “we dont talk about that” things but if you want to follow the tax law with regards to zaps what are you even sopposed to do? if i zap someone am i making s non taxable gift? or am i cashing out by making a payment for a post? doesn’t make any sense that i am making a payment since i can see the content without zapping but i know tax man wants to steal my money.

Does everyone else always feel like zapping back people who zap you? I am stuck between: wanting to zap back to show appreciation vs. feeling like the asshole who cannot accept a gift gracefully. Like if someone gives you a gift irl , you say thanks and later you can give them a different gift to reciprocate. I like getting zapped because hopefully it means I added value. But at the same time, I want to send more sats than I recieve on here. Current compromise is to zap back a smaller amount.
