Whew! My gauntlet has been run. Application submitted, San Diego class complete, dinner speech spoken. My work of the past few months is behind me now.
Taking the rest of the week off from my fiat mining job just because.
This marks a (re)turning for me back toward home lab build out, picking up where I left off in early March. First to tie up is my Lightning implementation.

Here’s what I’m building:
Posting my video on collaboration and self-organization. This was made (yesterday) for PMI crowd, but largely applicable.
Moving rain water from collection barrel in front yard to somewhere in back by garden. I rarely turn down a chance to capture water from the sky.
Packing clothes for tomorrow’s trip to San Diego. Teaching for two days. Activities and classroom materials are already packed.
Gonna start a couple passport renewals for me and family. Hoping to get an international trip before long, definitely have Japan on the list for autumn.
Maybe I’ll leave the list at that. No need to overcommit on this fine and fabulous day.

Making the world a better place by cleaning up my own backyard. One more raised bed up and loaded with green things growing.
Daughter wrapped up both her Cybersecurity class and the AP Comp Sci exam this weekend. Makes Daddy proud.
Another week working w East Coast teams, helping them work as teams, use kanban effectively, get stuff done (working, tested, complete).
I wrapped up a ton of large commitments over past few weeks, but still have biggies on my board. Another week or two until I’m back to building out my home lab / coin mgmt setup.

- the virtual presentations (a/v tech was very good for both stages)
- the Google doc made it super easy to plan my virtual experience
- this retrospective :)

- would have enjoyed more virtual focused content
- updates to Google doc for canceled talks?
- would have loved a webcam that onsite plebs could say hi to us virtual plebs

The rain in Spain falls mainly in southern California.
The weekend was spent not so much building (tho I did play around w a python project), but building my knowledge & understanding of (1) the Fed's history and the Mandrake Mechanism (reading "the creature form jekyll island".) and (2) watching the live streams from #Nostrica.
Takeaways from the stages:
- microapps are where I want to be, what I wanna develop... for myself ;)
- #[0] is one humble, smart, and persistent dude, and iris.to is a great client on my desktop
- I need to spend some time investigating the LNBits marketplace, esp the drop dead simple relay creation
Looking forward to today's sessions.
Here in Rainland, another busy day of fiat balderdash. Gotta find ways to comfort and assist the teams (timezones away) that are too busy and beaten to breathe. Develop my class to break outta my shackles. Help the kiddo have a fruitful & productive spring vacation. (Wishing we were in Uvita!)

Building of a different nature. Have been focused on (a) FT fiat job, (b) building a new course on product stewardship, and (c) preparing a presentation to a local chapter to educate plebs of paths toward sovereignty of their own careers.
If you’re following my morning pv notes, you’ve read my exploits building out my home network of lans/vlans, firewall, nodes, tunnels, a bunch of OS fun, and soon (hopefully) a relay or two. Revisiting languages and learning new tech has been a dream come true - literally.
This passion and promise of constructing my network sovereignty fills my soul in places I’d forgotten about, giving me purpose and direction.
This fiat job of mine will hold less domain over me tomorrow than it does today; less demand of my most precious resource next year than it does now in March of 2023 when my spirit cries to be in Uvita.
PV to all the dreamers, dancers, builders and co-conspirators at #nostrica. Make the most of this opportunity to remake the tribal nerve system that once flowed among all earthlings.
