Either I was hallucinating or Damus 1.6 just dropped my reply to someone into the ether of no relay zone. But I see my other / later replies. Weird but there’s a first time for everything. Not a big deal.

When senior level people work on the problem, it means the problem is serious. I am thankful they are helping me avert a big problem
Thankful for amazingly talented people who don’t hesitate to get their hands dirty solving random people’s issues.
I am that random person today, contacted by two famous (at least to me) people who saw my need and reached out to help me. They may think this is normal operating mode so no big deal. But I am star-strucked nonetheless.
Thankful it could have been worse but was not.
Thankful for responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly technical support.
I admire the team behind the FreeFrom nostr app. Their release cadence is impressive and the app noticeably keeps improving.
I also like Damus., especially the UI - a bit different but I love it.
But why?
Thankful a major problem was narrowly avoided. It is not over yet but it is more manageable now.
Post a metric - any metric - and sooner or later it draws my attention, even if I don’t need it. This is why in some of my writing projects, I intentionally have zero metric. Null, nada. And these are where I enjoy writing more.
Why is that?
Plan for the day turned upside down. Thankful I was able to squeeze in a morning run before the day plan went offrails.
Thankful for a fairly productive week.
All technological productivity and efficiency gains were meant to help us work less or at least more enjoyably. But then someone pushes the bar higher. It’s like running on treadmill - we can run as fast as we want but not get elsewhere.
Not saying it’s rewardless - running on treadmill is still healthier than not exercising. But we need to know why and where we run.
Some people get to set the bar. Most who set the bar for others also need to reach their bar. If we’re amongst the bar-setters, let’s not forget to identify with others’ perspectives. Most people are not lazy. Their circumstances are different from ours.
Let’s help each other out to achieve our goals win-win. And not to forget our “why”.
[Random thought stream. No reason.]
Thankful for a nice morning walk. It rained again last night 👍🏼
Taking my personal nostr relay offline. Hopefully no neg side effects.
I mistakenly remembered the wrong expiry date for a free car service. Bummer. But thankful the car is in good shape and doesn’t need any work.
Time flies. I was an early adopter and been using DuckDuckGo as my default search engine in whatever browser I use. I wish you all the best.
