Pricing from a specialist installer sight unseen was $300 excl taxes fixed price. Quote from an electrician sight seen $750 excl taxes**. Ended up getting an electrician who just works on hourly rates. 1 hours work, the cost was $120 excl taxes. ** The $750 quote was from a migrant electrician who included a compliance certificate at the cost of $85, and a new external ducting cover, for around $350 because apparently existing one leaking, and the rangehood would be damaged within two years even though the existing one just died after several years with no signs of water damage.
