After a year or so of managing full ETL pipelines, I've noticed that my thinking has become more visual. I now think in pictures and diagrams. Sometimes I see the data flowing through the pipeline and the transformation it needs to take at each stage. I used to think very auditory which went well with processes and technical writing but this way of thinking has moved me more into architecture? Definitely have a more holistic view of systems now, but feel like I've lost an edge with logical precision. Anybody else notice changes in their mental processing over the years or is that just me?
