I am planning to run a Bitcoin Lightning Node and Nostr Relay. I have studied Raspberry Pi board, it's cheaper, but it needs SD card and external SSD to setup. I don't think Raspberry Pi is stable enough to run 24/7 days. I have checked umbrel. They have a complete set hardware which its price is around $500. It's interesting. If we compare to raspberry, its price is a bit more higher but we can get a stable hardware (Intel N5105 2.9 GHz Quad-core CPU, RAM 16GB, and 2TB SSD storage). I would like to check if we can have another alternative hardware which price is more cheaper than umbre.

Phnom Penh at night. In Cambodia, there are a few shops in Phnom Penh, the capital city, and Kampot province that accept Bitcoin. I am planning to open a small shop in Siem Reap, my hometown province, and accept Bitcoin as well. #Bitcoin #Nostr #Khmerstr image

I don't want to argue with people in my country 🇰🇭 about Bitcoin and fiat money. The best example I can give them is that their grandparents' paper money during the Khmer Rouge's totalitarian regime (1975–79) had zero value. After the war, we used gold for trading in the country because paper money had no value anymore. We just used paper money again after the election, which was arranged by the UN. Some families with gold can build a new life after the war. One grandma, who was my neighbor (she passed away already), exchanged gold for fiat money during the war because fiat money is easy to transport. After the war, those funds could not be used anymore. If you want to learn more about the Khmer Rouge's totalitarian regime, you can watch a movie on Netflix called "First They Killed My Father". It's a Cambodian-American biographical historical thriller film directed by Angelina Jolie and written by Jolie and Loung Ung, based on Ung's memoir of the same name. image

I have been in #Nostr for a while, I have noted that only me from #Cambodia 🇰🇭 who is active here 🤣. I will increase the number of community members from Cambodia as much as possible. Most Cambodians use Facebook and Instagram, and they are addicted to watching toxic contents that are generated by algorithms based on their daily activities. Most of their lives are controlled by AI.
