If I can get a tax benefit for paying someone to buy Bitcoin for me and hold it as my retirement savings; then surely I should get a tax benefit for buying Bitcoin myself and holding it as retirement savings. Someone should take this argument to the supreme court.
On nostr: I like that there is no algorithm feeding you stuff and there is no central control trying to manipulate what media you consume. I do find it hard to reach the really good content though. Is there like a way to view the most zapped posts of all time?
Retirement advisors used to recommend a 60/40 (stocks/bonds) portfolio to balance growth with security. Now they recommend a 90/10 portfolio because that's what's need to keep up with inflation. I wonder what kind of security that 10% allocated to bonds is providing? Precious little I'd say. So why even have it? Because it's too taboo to tell you the bonds aren't with holding. The rise of Bitcoin is a flight to security. But the more I learn about it, the more I become convinced it can be a foundation for a better future.
It seems the Trump organization has adopted Bitcoin. Will this be the last pump cycle? Full on monetary arms race, no dip till the end of fiat?
