Last summer, my wife and I were camping & came across a self serve veggie & fruit stand. It had a PayPal bar code for payment, as we had no cash to stuff in the box. I used PayPal, typed in the amount & paid via scanning with the app. I told my wife, "this is exactly how the lightning network works, except lightning is much better". Direct settlement to the wallet of the seller. Less fees (virtually none) for the seller. No intermediary and PayPal doesn't need to be involved or approve. #nostr is now demonstrating this with ease with #sats. Micropayments, whatever, it doesn't matter. The light bulb will come on in many peoples heads now. LFG - get preaching and send a new signup some #sats!
