It’s the 21st century and we know for a fact about many bugs on how our reasoning, decision making, communication, or perception as humans. These are almost infallible and used in marketing and politics, to manipulate billions of humans and cash billions of dollars. etc. None are taught in school. Zero.

There is no capitalism or communism at the top of the pyramid or at the community level at the bottom. Everyone understands merit, everyone understands sometimes people need selfless help. The problem is at the middle of the pyramid because it was never supposed to have that many layers. Humans are optimised for a much flatter hierarchy.

This is NOT the way. Communists, terrrorists, covid, global warming. All of these are historically “perfect” enemies of the state: You can’t see them, you can’t accurately measure the effort against them, they can be anywhere, they are a “threat to existence”, rely on more power to the state to fight them back, want a population of snitches. Don’t give in. View quoted note →

Being right on economic predictions but being wrong on timing is the same thing as being completely wrong. Don’t be dependent on one outcome, you can be right AND screw up.

Too many times I go “who is this person on my feed, I like ‘em”. And then I check their profile, I’m already following. Of course, that’s why I’m seeing them! The things traditional social media platforms took away from us…

Don’t be afraid to follow an account on nostr. Seriously, think about it: who tf uses nostr? The filtering has been made for you: most likely you will be following a mildly autistic but hopeful human, just like you 🫂. (there will be retardation tho)

Most bitcoin explanations are cringe af. Listen to me. Bitcoin is a database, so is fiat. Bitcoins’ database is 1. decentralised and 2. synchs into a consensus in a novel as surprisingly robust way, 3. allowing any tx within its rules without censorship or ways to change the db in anyone’s favor. 4. It’s finite supply, this isn’t technological, it was a choice. Because of all of this, some people use Bitcoin as money all over the world. That’s it.

This is like the paradox of choice but for values and opinions. The more we listen to stuff, the more we either doubt and despair or ossify and not take in any new data. Most good values are shared across all humans, and learned early on, but we are psyoped to doubt ourselves and others. View quoted note →

Unpopular opinion: we need algos in Nostr asap. Algos signal a poster “this is interesting, do more of this, please”, it helps the audience to filter out noise, Without them, there is little reason to react to a note (you are not reinforcing the feed choices), and posters feel no one is listening. The bad rep of algos is how much of a black box they are in traditional platforms. So the question is: why aren’t there more open source algo options?

So Twitter is suggesting me more and more “local” tweets, and my feed is getting worse and worse. It’s like my countrymen never used social media before, it’s basically insults all they down. Remember me again why am I on Twitter?
