At the end of the fiat standard, it was brought up CBDCs would live alongside bitcoin.
My thing is, wouldn’t the world governments hate this more than anything and make it illegal to transact in bitcoin?
Interesting thought experiment to ponder.
They could introduce fines, punishments and penalties for moving your money between wallets.
Doesn’t make KYC bitcoin too attractive…

Excellent book going over the history of fiat, credit markets and how bitcoin may operate in parallel to a fiat economy in the near future.

Jeff Booth often talks about the repricing that would happen on a bitcoin standard, I’m still trying to wrap my head around the credit part. A debt is a debt, so there would need to be a default, large print or forgiveness.
On a bitcoin standard, what happens to the $31-50 trillion in debt that the US government and other governments take on?
Does a debt jubilee occur?
Interesting thought experiment to think about how this would unwind.
Just speculating here, but I think the next to countries to adopt bitcoin are Honduras/Guatemala!
The last two countries will be China and some member country of the EU.

If bitcoin didn’t exist I would 100% be a gold or silver guy. Hard money for the win!
The likelihood of the US ever reintroducing a gold standard seems incredibly low (less than 1%), but if this were to happen, would this undermine the near to medium term adoption of a bitcoin standard?🤔
Is there a bug bounty for bitcoin core or lightning? Curious on the rewards for finding something as valuable as this.
I wonder if all the ASICS are made in China right now?
From my understanding a fair amount of them were.
What other countries have the potential to produce ASICS cheaply and effectively- to diversify manufacturing output?
The China ban in 2021 fascinates me! Would be really cool to see a documentary on this, where they ended up and what the plans are for miners that were misallocated.
Just curious how flexible current bitcoin mining companies are in the USA to get up and relocate if there were a federal ban on bitcoin mining?
Has this been thought out and explored?
I know when China banned bitcoin mining in 2021 there were some miners that didn’t have a plan B right away.
Having a plan b would be criticism to maintain the hash rate!
Almost going to finish the Fiat standard! Might take a break from bitcoin books until I get a good recommendation.
How many hours a day to you spend towards researching bitcoin? Weekends I try at least 2-3 hours, while weekdays it’s probably 1 hour per day.
I’m not going to drink this weekend! I’m just going to work out and work💪🏽🫡!
