(ChatGPT)

"The big picture: It's not yet clear how many military vets have been fired, or will be. Last year veterans made up 28% of the federal workforce, per federal data, a far bigger share than the 5% in the private sector. About 36% of the vets working in civil service, more than 200,000 in total, are disabled or have a serious health condition, per federal data. "This is the largest attack on veteran employment in our lifetime," said William Attig, the executive director of the Union Veterans Council, a labor group that represents many of these workers." « Israel has sent tanks into the occupied West Bank for the first time in 20 years, as the Israeli military escalates its offensive that has already displaced 40,000 Palestinians. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Palestinians living in the Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps will not be allowed to return to their homes. »

Turkey: Support TikTok Workers The Canadian technology company Telus provides services to TikTok and other major corporations in its operations in Turkey.  But their workers are suffering from low wages and psychologically exhausting working conditions. Performance targets are constantly rising, there is no job security, and arbitrary dismissals are taking place. Telus workers have unionised to demand a collective bargaining agreement. In response, the company started firing union representatives and changed its legal status to hinder union activities. Workers, who are now on the picket line in front of the Telus office in Izmir, are demanding better working conditions, recognition of their union rights, and the reinstatement of their colleagues who were dismissed.

As we prepared for tonight's USA-Canada hockey game, some at the White House couldn’t resist making a few questionable jokes. President Trump referred to ‘Governor Trudeau,’ the press secretary joked about Canada being the ‘51st state of the USA,’ and Vice President Vance even threatened to raise tariffs if Canada lost the game. Anyway, here’s a video in their honor!

FIRST PHOTO OF HOSPITAL DIRECTOR DR SAFIYA INSIDE ISRAELI PRISON Al Mezan’s (Palestinian NGO) lawyer met with Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya in Ofer Prison, where he was held in solitary confinement for 25 days. Dr. Safiya was forcibly stripped, shackled with his hands tightly bound, made to sit on sharp gravel for five hours. He also endured beatings with batons, electric shock sticks, and repeated blows to the chest. 10 hours of interrogation significantly worsened his health. On the RDI 24/7 news channel in Montreal, tonight's USA-Canada hockey game is regularly mentioned along with the unfunny jokes of President Trump about "Governor Trudeau", the White House spokeswoman about Canada being the "51st state of the USA" and Vice President Vance about raising tariffs if Canada loses the game...
