I find myself wanting to use social media less and less with each passing day. that includes nostr. when I was a kid the Internet gave my weird, nerdy, introverted self a chance to find other misfits on the weird and wild web. social media is mostly an echo chamber and a collection of in-groups or out-groups. the same vague platitudes and GMs are recycled, and just like Bitcoin podcasts it's the same old shit on repeat. if you disagree you become part of the out-group. I'm weary. I was an alcoholic/addict and those friends are either dead or gone from my life in one way or the other. I've found no tribe. I think I'm perpetually going to be on the fringe and permanently in the out-group, and I've become okay with that. Not sad, not depressed, this isn't a call for help. I've no patience or time for online arguments or disagreements Just acknowledging what I've come to realize about myself. I think I'm at the point where I would rather have the silence and solitude, maybe the company of a book, rather than change myself to make friends and join a tribe. I just don't know if I see any real value in social media at all.

I don't wear suits, once or twice for a wedding or something I've rented one, but I am decidedly blue collar and I don't pretend to be something I'm not. GM nostr! gonna take this opportunity to shill the greatest keyboard imo: https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com I switched back for a couple days to my old Apple Magic Keyboard. Can't do it. While I appreciate the slimness, I get wrist and shoulder pain, especially on the right (mouse) side, and the UHK completely alleviates this. It's a more natural position for me and I also use the two modules so I can scroll and mouse around without leaving homerow. Will probably buy a couple more eventually out of fear the company goes out of business. Not interested in building my own keyboard so while the price is steep, it's well worth it to me. #gm #keyboardstr

anytime I see people hating on capitalism I can't help but think maybe it isn't he capitalism but the fact that the entire system depends on cheap debt and money printing. maybe if parting with money actually had a cost, we'd have less waste. less malinvestment. maybe if you couldn't subsidize your corporate losses, maybe if the government couldn't bail you out at the expense of plebs, maybe people would stop blaming capitalism. it should hurt and give pause to part ways with real money.
