When troubleshooting IT issues in China, it’s a pain that DNS poisoning from the GFW is often the problem. Solving normal IT issues turns into defending against an entire nation state funded army.

I’m very happy with how my #Bitcoin tie-dye shirt turned out. Made by hand from natural indigo “Lan Dian” flowers in Guizhou.

Working on a #bitcoin tie-dye in Guizhou. Can’t wait to see how it turns out tomorrow!

My #bitcoin socks make me smile. Have a great day

I upgraded my @LNbits to 1.0.0rc9 and it’s working great. I use lnbits in addition to @BTCPay Server because I like being able to give my son his own separate custodial lightning wallet and having that LNDHub integrated to a @ZEUS wallet.
Looking forward to LNBits releasing 1.0.0
Really happy to have some low miner fees to use @kukks latest CoinJoin plugin on @BTCPay Server. It’s working great but it does consume a surprising amount of CPU and makes my Intel i7 NUC overheat if I keep the plugin running. Super easy to use and the total fees were astonishingly low. I still can’t figure out how to get my head wrapped around PayJoin.
That is an empty mempool #bitcoin
In the next 24 hours, 20 million of the available #bitcoin will be mined. It will take another 115 years to mine the remaining million bitcoin.

Yay, my bank gave me my money back. Time to send it again to Kraken.
I passed my Technician test for Amateur Radio License #hamradio Thank you to the #meshtastic community who inspired me. Now, I need to figure out if I can get my U.S. license recognized in China while I start studying for my General license.
I’ve studied for my technician #hamradio test and registered a FRN with the FCC. I’m consistently passing many practice tests. Anyone recommend a remote testing center? Any other general advice? Hope I can convince China to recognize my license, but that’s a future problem.
Nothing better than waking up to argue with your bank’s security department on confirming the use of your own funds.
This is why I travel. Beef tenderloin and hummus at Maison Libanaise in Hong Kong.

Never been more excited about #bitcoin
I’m coming up on seven years in China. I arrived on 3/28/2018 in Guangzhou and, having spent the last five years studying Bitcoin and then Ethereum, I lead a small cryptocurrency exchange in Hong Kong with a team in Shenzhen. I have a lot of stories, but the main one is that it was impossible to get a bank account with any of the Hong Kong banks. We shut down the exchange and sold the tech. I was fortunate to find a job in HSBC leading cash equities technology in Guangzhou. Over the past six years I made my way to leading digital assets research with a focus on cryptocurrency. I hope one day to connect a bank to cryptocurrency but it is taking a different path than anticipated.
How the hell did Bhutan end up on a U.S. potential travel ban list?! What… did they start mining too much bitcoin away from the US strategic reserve? Banned or not, I hope to visit one day soon. Looks incredible.
Beware of the ides of March, and beware of being featured in China’s 3.15 consumer rights gala. It was an interesting night watching it and seeing where China is focusing its attention - especially on AI and financial lending.
My son has been practicing violin daily in exchange for 500 sats. He now has 250,000 sats and got his first award at school. He’s super proud, and that makes me happy he has learned what it takes.

I keep trying to tell the bank to let me help others stack sats. Maybe one day, but until that day, every job is a #bitcoin job if you stack sats.
