I didn't exactly go to a guitar Mass today for Thanksgiving, because there were no actual guitars there. It was a beautiful church full of statues, paintings, and biblical stained-glass scenes, but after some delay with technical issues, the boomer priest was able to use his iPhone and Bluetooth speakers to start Mass with a John Michael Talbot song (performed by JMT himself), which came with its own guitar accompaniment and backup singers. The priest said, "Peace be with you." We said, "And with your spirit." He said, "Thank you." I always like seeing people in the front rows turning around to flash the rest of the congregation with a high-waving hippie peace sign. โœŒ๏ธ My wife and I had been asked to bring up the gifts. I wasn't expecting that, so I ended up agreeing to it. But when the time came, another family was already doing it. I was relieved that there was a miscommunication among the ushers. The pre-homily warm up was a humorous poem written about an exploding Thanksgiving turkey. The priest wanted to read it to us right before the homily, he said, "to lighten the mood." The lady lector and lady distributor were a nice touch, too. It was a treat to hear several more songs during Mass that sounded like I was in Catholic gift shop. After our final blessing we were warned not to eat too much turkey. There's nothing I can complain about, though, because all that matters is having a valid sacrament. Right? I was grateful for at least that, and for all the graces we do receive. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Against my better judgment, I just bought $100 worth of BTC (using Monero). I did it to see how the price goes up in comparison to Monero. If BTC shoots way ahead, then I'll just trade it back in for Monero, the privacy of which I value more than the worth of BTC.

I am against recreational mind-altering drugs and all forms of pornography, but I really like the dark market model of business transactions. I'd be happy, for instance, to buy an "America First" hat or t-shirt, but I'd prefer to pay with #Monero and use a PGP key to communicate my mailing address over the Tor network. XMRbazaar is a good example of this kind of transaction (it's how I bought my GrapheneOS phone), but it should be more widespread.

At a daily Mass here in San Antonio, I couldn't help but notice the priest swiping and tapping on his iPhone at the altar to start and stop the music for different parts of the Mass. #MotelNotCloseEnoughToTLM

I'm pleased that my old Windows 7 machine works suitably well running #Linux. It makes me teary-eyed to think people might trash their Win10s in order to run Win11. Microsoft desktop users get screwed. Switch to Linux!

I'm curious if anyone here knows of anyone who, AFTER the vax was widely available, either... (1) was unvaxxed and contracted COVID-19 and died with no comorbidities, or (2) was vaxxed and suffered from serious side effects. 1 or 2 or neither?

I refuse to attend my employer's "holiday party" in December. What holiday is the party celebrating? Hanukkah? Kwanzah? These are both anti-Christian celebrations. If HR was so concerned about not offending certain people six months prior ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ, then they need to not offend Christians in December.

If you're concerned about HIV, I recommend trying to avoid sodomy and dirty needles. But don't trust me -- be sure to consult your drug-dealing doctor. image

Do any men find #journaling beneficial? Or is that a girly thing, or maybe something to improve your mental health? I hear about it but can't find compelling reasons to do it.

Sometimes I like watching "Predator Poachers" on YouTube/Rumble. But I hate that the bad guys give a bad name to good #privacy apps like #Signal and #Session, which can be used in their crimes. What these creeps' activities *should* to do in the minds of thinking persons is to give #porn a bad name. All porn should be criminalized. Nothing good comes from it. Only bad. It hurts everyone involved.

I remember when I used to log in to my home computer to see if I had any emails to read from a friend or relative. Now, email is just an ID for 2FA in order to be tracked and receive junk mail.

I still miss Rush Limbaugh. I wonder where he would stand on certain issues today.

If they're not already, why aren't so-called "Minor Attracted Persons" (MAPs) covered under the rainbow-colored mantle of the LMNOP+ flag? I never hear a cogent reason why they shouldn't be part of the "+". It's just one more set of letters that belong to the alphabet soup of perversions. #onemanonewoman4life

I've tipped at least 2 waitresses with #Monero. It takes a little social courage to propose the idea, but it was fun. It was their first experience with crypto.

With the price of #Monero shooting up, I decided to spend some today for various online services. As with cash, I believe with Monero: We should (1) save some, (2) spend some, (3) give some away. All three are more fun as Monero's value increases.

I'm pretty sure it's a fact that when the human body is away from its normal habitat and lodges at a motel, its fingernails grow exponentially fast. I have not read up on theories that try to explain the evolutionary benefits of this phenomenon.

This motel trash/recycle bin looks much larger in the picture than in real life. I had a very small Styrofoam bowl of food, and the bowl would not fit in the trash portion of this bin. I'm not sure what could be thrown away that would fit. When I start my own motel chain, each room will have its own 13-gallon trash can. image

I think it's stupid that hatred -- often mislabeled as "phobia" -- is considered the worst crime in the universe. And what I mean by hatred is disagreeing with only certain ideologies or certain people. But it's almost always the case that these certain people are the ones who are guilty of literally hating those who merely disagree with their ideologies. "Hater" is a childish playground taunt that should be ignored -- or, more appropriately, laughed at.

LGBTQ+ Megyn Kelly is notoriously against the T, but sees no problem with the L and the G. Problem: The whole alphabet is a list of disorders.

Megyn Kelly on her show today told a young student she should use the wrong pronouns for her trans teacher out of "respect," due to the teacher being in a position of authority. BAD LESSON. Kid should be taught early to not cave in to doing the wrong thing no matter who pressures them. Best compromise: Don't use pronouns for teacher at all. It is disrespectful to trannies to play into their delusions, and it's disrespectful to oneself to be bullied into speaking known falsehoods.
