I’m certain that at some point in the future, the UX on various Nostr clients will be just as good as on Mastodon. I also think that the UI on every Nostr client is lagging behind Mastodon at this time, but Nostr clients are catching up quickly. Considering Nostr is only a few years old, the progress being made is incredible. View quoted note →
Nostr and Mastodon are pretty cool. I think Mastodon has a nicer UX, but Nostr’s true censorship resistance is a major advantage in my opinion. On Mastodon, the admins can just kick you off the server, and then your user account and all your posts are gone… That cannot happen on Nostr, because you actually own your data here.
I love Nostr, but there is a significant lack of diverse content. The focus is primarily on Bitcoin and discussions about Nostr itself, which becomes tiresome after a while. I’m really hoping Nostr is what the future of social media looks like. Decentralized tech just feels better to me than centralized stuff like X/Twitter.
Have gotten OBS Studio to work with the plugin called 'obs-multi-rtmp'. Works great with Odysee, Twitch, and YouTube. Now I gotta figure out how to livestream on Nostr as well. I want to do some coding livestreams.
I’m never building a desktop PC with a water cooling loop again. Now, there’s an issue with the WiFi antenna connectors on the motherboard, which requires me to remove the motherboard for repairs. This means I have to dismantle almost all the tubes in the water loop and drain the water. So time consuming…
The new XPS laptops look beautiful, especially in the graphite color. I'd really like the 16 inch model. I do have some concerns: - The function row are touch buttons. Basically like the MacBook Pro 2016 model with the touchbar — that sucks... - MicroSD instead of fullsize SD-card reader. No idea why... As a photographer not having a fullsize SD-card reader is horrible. - Soldered ram, so not upgradable. It also makes it near impossible to repair yourself unless very skilled. I certainly am not skilled enough to replace soldered ram. - Only one SSD-slot. Would really like to have two. One SSD for Linux and the other for Windows. That would have been perfect. All-in-all, looks good, but horrible for upgradability and repairability. Also, the thermals will probably also suck. That's how it always is with these XPS laptops. https://www.dell.com/en-us/blog/dells-new-xps-lineup-futuristic-design-with-built-in-ai/
Charging is so slow on iPhone 15 Pro Max. At least the battery life is much better than on my S22 Ultra. But still, I miss fast charging.
We usually don’t have this much snow in the winter time here in Denmark. It’s beautiful ❄️ 🇩🇰 image
