Money is always a means to an end.

Some parents want you to work for love. Good parents want you to work from love. Some religions and ideologies demand that you work for love. Jesus wants you to work from his love.

I know some Bitcoiners are mad about Trump, "Starting a war," with Venezuela. So here are my thoughts about it. An evil man is no longer ruling, the Venezuelans are overjoyed. So I'm fine with it. Also, shortest war ever. Xi, next?

Bitcoin is a money of last resort. Proportionally, few people want to use it. Why isn't that a problem? Because the other "easier" monies are going to die. Bitcoin (and Nostr) don't gain users because of number go up or some other flashy status symbol. Bitcoin gains users because "the system" has ejected them. Real Bitcoin users, arguably, feel comfortable with reality teaching people what works and what doesn't, because reality never fails. This is why Bitcoin is winning. Because USD and all other fiat currency stops working. And Bitcoin won't stop working.

My follower count is turning into a war of attrition. Kind of like how Bitcoin and Nostr are where people wind up when other options are exhausted, I make posts that sometime gain me followers, but then when some people get a taste of my typical context, they unfollow. And that's kind of the point. I'm not building a group of fair-weather softies. I'm building a group of hardcore, unconventional aristocrats who construct their lives, not out of status and credentials and power asymmetries, but of people who love and accept responsibility for the truth, and who are extremely intelligent and intuitive. One way to build is to seek engagement. That's not my way, primarily. My way is to put the truth out there and watch who it attracts and who it repels. I want my followers to be the the ones who survived after the rest got washed out. If that's you, it's an honor to have you here.
