Bitcoin is for everyone. Also, Nostr is for everyone. I think one of the signs of Nostr's growth is I've seen more people on Nostr who aren't Bitcoin maximalists or don't hold the values of Bitcoin culture, yet are still here posting and interacting. Inadvertently endorsing decentralization and sound money. None Bitcoin users helping make Bitcoin and Nostr adaptation grow is a win. Many people will use Bitcoin and Nostr because they want to. Many more people will end up using Bitcoin and Nostr because there's no other viable choice.

Note to self... If I try to start the motorhome and the starter battery is dead, and someone tries to help jump start it and it doesn't work, don't replace the starter battery with what I thought was a 12v house battery, only to later find out it was a 6v battery that was put in series with another 6v batter to make 12v. It doesn't work, and may cause you to think the alternator isn't working anymore, and almost buy and install another alternator, but thank God they didn't have one so you bought a new starter battery instead to limp the motorhome into town and cell service and food, only to discover after rewiring the house batteries to be in the right configuration, that there was nothing wrong with the alternator and replacing the starter battery was the only problem that's now fixed. Next time, it's okay to replace the starter battery and be on your way. But all things considered, you did well because you depended on God, fixed the real problem, and now you and your family are safe. Sincerely, Past Levi View quoted note →

The danger of this period of time is, since free speech for privacy developers is under threat, it's tempting for people to flatten the sound money structure to be only about privacy, when it's not, and can lead to distortions in how people see sound money. View quoted note →

I've been shown another phrase for first principles/habits. Vantage point. Conceptually, if I find a true vantage point, I can see my inner and outer world and people and contexts from that vantage point and then things make sense, which is very important to me. For instance, "Life supports that which brings more life," isn't only a first principle which applies to everything, it's also a vantage point from which I / you can look at and take in reality, and as it pertains to any particular area can ask, "Is this supporting or detracting from life?" If we can see that the outcomes and methods support life in any particular area, it's in alignment with the "life supports that which brings more life" vantage point. If it doesn't support that which brings more life, it's anti-life. When someone finds a true vantage point, it brings life and clarity. If someone finds a false vantage point, it brings misunderstandings and chaos. I prefer the former. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

I've re-discovered that it's okay to not interact with insensitive people who call me names.

"When you fear something, learn as much about it as you can. Knowledge conquers fear." — Edmund Burke This is pretty good advice. When granular understanding is limited, the uncertainty and seriousness about it can be blown out of proportion in one's imagination and consciousness. But there's been more than once where I thought a situation or problem was pretty bad, but ended up being far easier to resolve once I got into it.
