I'm not sure if it's culturalbor part of rural living, but people in the countryside of Japan seem far more focused on making a reasonable living instead of trying to make as much money as possible.
They also seem happier. It is giving me a lot to think about. I felt trapped in my occupation because of the high cost of supporting my family and the debt I had to service.
Our debt and cost of living is much lower now and I feel like I can finally try to help in the Bitcoin and Nostr space, even if I don't make much money.
I buy whatever is in season direct from my local farmers in Japan. They set up little roadside stalls where each item is 100 yen. That's about $1 AUD / $.65 USD - its an honor system as no one is at the stall.
Here's today's purchases - daikon, okra, chestnuts and wildflowers. We've also been buying cucumber, green capsicum and eggplant. All delicious!

Impressive - Bitcoin Island presentation on how they signed up 300 businesses.
Ten year old video but it explains the complexities of our monetary system, inflation and why it will eventually fail.
