iOS is a shitcoin. Apps are not permitted unless signed by a cert blessed by apples master keys. They can revoke any app's validity at any time. Maximum time to use an app offline after revocation is 1 year before the apps signature expires (if revoked you must be online so that revocation checks won't be automatically performed).

A social structure ultimately will always be a result of a bottom up rough consensus. There may be times throughout history where a social structure is dictated from above, but it always breaks down.
