Pups vet check went well. She has doubled her weight in 4 weeks. Because the dog is a bitzer (bits and pieces of who knows) we can’t really gauge how big she is going to get. Bet reckons a bit smaller than a Lab. Won’t be on my lap like this much longer 😔 #dogstr #puppy

Pup update. We have been doing short morning beach walks to get her used to the sights, sounds and smells. There are a lot of folks walking their dogs on this particular beach. We have been selectively introducing her to other dogs we know on the beach as part of her socialisation. It’s worked well so far. I noticed an interesting focus this morning, she picked out a single set of dog tracks in the sand and followed it intently for nearly a minute. She went from print to print and wove up and down the shoreline tracking it. There were half a dozen other dogs in the vicinity but she was glued to just one set of tracks. It was really neat to watch. I am now wondering how I can help her hone this trait. I am not a hunter and I don’t live close to bush that allows dogs. Also no truffles on the property either 🤣 Anyway, she has a 12 week vet appointment this morning for final shots and a check up. #dogstr #puppy

Have just started a 20km hike in this environment. It’s a coastal trek that can only be done at a very low tide. 😊

Successive planting is something I have not attempted until now. As a beginner veggie gardener I am now paying attention to spreading out yields. I have planted a couple varieties of peas, some spinach, carrots, beets and these radishes, all on a 2 week cycle.

It’s been two weeks since pup came to live with us. I am now full trained to never leave the house without treats and poo bags 💩🤣

Long range forecast looking primo!

This is a great overview of some of the surface anomalies on the moon with theoretical physicist Max Derekhshani. It is biased towards the current UAP narrative but nevertheless is full of official NASA publicly available images from a variety of NASA expeditions, including the latest Artemis mission. It’s quite long but packed full of details with very little fluff. Highly recommend if you haven’t given much thought about the moon lately 🙂

Gm. A sunrise beach walk and training session with pup. We stood about 30m apart and she ran between us nearly a dozen times responding to her recall command. She is doing great! 😊 #dogstr #puppy #sunrise

Gm. Lots of little fiddly jobs on the cards today. Usually not my fav type of work day. I don’t like the cognitive load that comes with switching between multiple tasks. I really do like the sessions where I can sink my teeth into something for 4+ hours at a time. Still, I’m grateful for this to be my current challenge. It could be way worse. 🙏
