I have strong convictions that are loosely held about money, Artificial Intelligence, human potential and personal development.
When I am checking whether something is true, I’ve found it useful to look at it from four different angles.
1. Does it correspond to mind independent physical reality?
2. Does it cohere within a human made framework or set of rules?
3. Does it produce reliable real world results?
4. Does it fit within a socially constructed narrative?
What surprises me is how often a claim is true in only one of these categories and how much confusion comes from treating it as if it were true in all of them.

One way to process the idea of AI slop is to think about greeting cards. You could make one from scratch by choosing the card stock, drawing the artwork and writing a message that reflects your sentiment, or you could go to a store and look through a selection of pre made cards that match your sentiment. I don’t know anyone who gets upset or turned off by receiving store bought pre made cards. Think of these commercial cards like using AI to communicate your thoughts and feelings. Probably just a matter of time before the convenience and usefulness of AI wins out over early adopter criticism. What do you think? #AI
