Technology is impossible to regulate. You can regulate how people use different types of technology, but you can’t ban innovation.

Cash cannot be banned. Sure, you can ban dollar bills but people will always have something physical that has value and that can be traded for something else.

Only 10% of the gold we’ve dug up is actually utilised in industry, the rest is sitting in bank vaults. That means 90% of the energy used for gold mining has been a complete waste.

Bitcoin, AI and AR are big paradigm shifts that will gradually happen in the next 30-40 years. AR is probably not going to be as big as the other two. AI will do more for productivity, bitcoin will do more for equality.

It’s arguably good for a new industry to be “the wild west” for a period of time. Innovation can happen faster, the real utility can be found. Ultimately, it’s for the best to establish clear rules.
