In a room full of law enforcement, I was the only person to raise my hand when former FinCEN director Bill Fox asked if anyone "actually believes" bad people deserve privacy. I said I believe the Constitution applies to every American, and the Fourth Amendment provides the framework for breaking through the right to privacy when an investigation justifies it. Sadly, that seemed to fall on deaf ears.
