UNPOPULAR OPINION: AI "artists" are not making art, but commissioning.
Literally prove me wrong.

Continuing to be a reponsible adult setting up dcw.soy as a redirect system (other than the main page).
When I deploy, in the next few minutes, you can hit dcw.soy/foo and it will redirect to dave.io/go/foo.
(see dave.io for some of the valid redirects)

I wanted to create a holding page for my short domain, so naturally I went bugfuck with it.

It is always a joy to explain the meaning of PEBKAC (context: dude who gave Replit write on his prod db and is crying because it nuked it) to people.

Always be on the lookout for Government announcements written in 14 words.
Especially from the Trump administration.
Someone once described something he saw at a fetish club; a film with scenes of mutilation, vivisection, animal cruelty interspersed with porn and art and beauty, flipping between the two so quickly that your brain didn't get the chance to distinguish its responses.
Has anyone ever seen similar?
Classiest moment: accidentally flashing Stoya and other guests on a preshow call, on a platform I built myself, and thus should have known where the fucking "camera off" button was.
Writing up my big wins at Feeld because I always forget and fall over myself in interviews.
I did a pretty good job running the infra team there, you know.

Would you like to kill 15 minutes watching LeVar Burton present a special on Reading Rainbow about the making of TNG?
Yes, you would.
Had my first job match from Jack. They want me to apply to ICE.
...no, not that one.
It's a pretty good match, nicely surfaced.
Re the ongoing battle to get Claude Code to follow rules... I've looked into Hooks today and these just might be our answer.
I'm going to experiment, and if I can indeed do what I think I can do with them, I'll write a guide.

Look, we both know there's a ton of AI bullshit out there, but I just tried out Jack and I was *very* impressed.
You do a 20 minute voice call with an agent which was hands down the most lifelike I've experienced, and then it searches for jobs in the background and emails you.

Claude Code in CI is an absolute banger. Doesn't even use API pricing any more, it creates a token for you (and automatically writes it to your repo).
Reviews PRs like a champ, it's replaced Codacy completely. Sourcery remains, though. I like the diagrams. But it won't run in private repos unless I give them all my money.
Just run Claude Code in your repo, and run `/install-github-app` (yes, even if it's installed already).
I think it might shell out to `gh` to set the secret up for you (or it might do it via the API directly), but having `gh` available won't do you any harm.
