Learned an awful thing about ROLLERBALL. I find it a tough watch because I couldn’t care less about sports if I tried, but it is a good dystopia and portrayal of corpocracy.
Anyway. This film came out. It shat all over corporate power, and contact sports as brutal and cruel.
So what did the Americans do?
They spent the next ten years trying to persuade the creator to sell the rights, so they could create real Rollerball leagues.
For fuck’s sake.

I do find myself wondering how many people know that Basshunter’s NOW YOU’RE GONE, originally BOTEN ANNA, was originally an incredibly stupid song about IRC.
Quite proud of this dumb feature. If you visit
then you’ll see my email address in the “menu bar”.
But! When the page loads, it isn’t there. It’s encrypted. And your browser has to crack the cipher before it can be displayed.
This takes milliseconds. But it confounds the hell out of bots.

I have named the Discord server I’m putting together **”Post-Scarcity Gay Space Anarchist Catgirl Hackers For Better Branch Prediction”** and there is nothing you can do to stop me
Are there any Discords for “Deep Nerds who like infosec and tinkering but also shitposting and leftism”?
Can I get an invite?
When you fuck up so badly that leftists are saying the same thing as literal Nazis, it’s time to stop.
Epstein might be the thing to bring him down.
Look, I know the Tor project’s Shared Random Value is completely distinct from the point being made here and serves a completely different purpose, but all I can think of is

Random Number
News sources framing the Epstein shitshow as Right-wing fury miss the mark so hard.
The Right should be pissed that the only alternative is that they were lied to for years, but we know that’s been universal.
But EVERYONE is pissed about the likely situation that it’s being hidden.
Information is never truly lost. One day, the Epstein list will come out. And if that worries you? Good.
I do appreciate that we can build for `arm64` / `aarch64` on GitHub Actions via `qemu` - it means I can spin up the containers I build locally, without Rosetta nonsense.
But JESUS it’s slow to build anything more complicated than a “Hello, World”.
You know what happens when there’s a single payer, like the NHS, for medications? They can demand enormous discounts. Because they can’t sell their stuff elsewhere.
The NHS pays £1,492.50 ($2,027.94) per month for ofatumumab, my MS medication.
That’s quite different from the US price of $9,347.07.
When faced with pro AI art maniacs, just deploy the old faithful. Tell them it’s not art, it’s commissioning, and watch them detonate. They universally do not have an answer.
“In the 80s, we had gay icons, like George Michael and the Pet Shop Boys. Do trans folks have any?”
“Uh… yes, I suppose we do”
“Who are they?”

My view on life is that nearly everything is driven by entropy. There are too many variables to have any direct control.
That’s not to say we don’t have control.
There are all kinds of things we can do to shift the probabilities, or optimise a favourable outcome, or mitigate an unfavourable one.
This is excellent advice which everyone should take.
It is also the one piece of advice I have the most trouble with.
So many half-finished projects. I can name at least 20 off the top of my head.
Something new always comes along and brain insists on working on it instead. AuDHD is powerful.

Came across this ridiculous bit of dick-sucking and all I could see was

How is there no dead simple SaaS that lets you spin up a transient container and run simple responses to the output and/or error code?
I can use GCP Cloud Run and I'm sure there's an AWS equivalent, but heavy-duty PaaS comes with so much unnecessary complexity.
Let me worry about building the container, you just let me run it and respond to the output with really basic options like sending an email, making an HTTP call, etc.
Hah! Project Neurokink has gone idle since I don’t have a workspace right now, but it’s on the list to get back to. Nice to see some coverage though, and he’s pretty much nailed me.
