Anyone here dabbled in Electroculture? I held off for some time because it seemed like hype and a fad, and I didn’t think adding lightning rods seemed like a good idea for North Florida. But I saw Deep South Homestead put out a video that actually made a convincing case. I had some leftover wire from a home project, so I thought I’d make some antenna and give it a try. I tried to pick the plants that looked the worst to see if there was appreciable changes. Over the weeks, we shall see… #grownostr #electroculture #gardening #permiestr

I couldn’t justify the cost of a proper greenhouse, and couldn’t bring myself to waste money on a flimsy one, but I was tired of using my inadequate carport for plant starts. So with a little creativity and about $10, found pallets, and scrap wood, I built a quick test greenhouse in about an hour. It’s primary purpose will be for soil blocks since they cannot get rained on. If this “works”, I’ll spend a little more time on a proper one that my wife can enjoy instead of being repulsed by one of my creations. The qualifications I needed for a greenhouse can be summarized by the following: -keep rain off seedlings -provide consistent light -be open air so the temperature stays down (too hot most of the year for an enclosed greenhouse) Let me know what you think and what I can improve! #grownostr #permaculture #greenhouse #diy #plebchain
