Found a remnants of an old house in the forest today. Imagining the life here 150 years ago, with nothing of the comforts of today. Was life more meaningful back then? Was it easier to navigate with your mind when the body needed to work much more? I think so much of our problems stem from the fact that we live completely different lives than 99,9% of our ancestors. There was a time when the tawny owl hooting was the natures way of whispering to us: rejoice! The slow arrival of spring has begun. I imagine the people living in this house just twenty minutes from my house, yet such a distance in time, listening to the tawny owl in middle of January. The echoes in the night keeping us connected through time.
