Picked up two miniature Hereford cows that are supposed to be bred. We’ve been wanting to get some beef to graze the pasture and figure a smaller breed for our small acreage would be ideal. They are enjoying the fresh grass and plentiful sunshine.

We started selling our pork locally and I’ve thought of offering it for shipping out of state. It has been processed at an inspected facility and can be shipped within the US.

We transitioned the meat birds to grass yesterday. Four weeks and we’ll be butchering.

Sold a pig to a local family this weekend. They came over and I gave them a class on how to butcher, cut and package. The entire family got involved and we had a great time.
I enjoy teaching this stuff and seeing the satisfaction in others faces as they “get it”.
