Let’s say I’ve bought Bitcoin elsewhere and transfer some funds to Strike to use with Bill Pay. The 1099-B form won’t accurately be able to calculate the capital gains since the Bitcoin wasn’t purchased on the platform, correct? In that case I’m guessing you’d want to use the transaction statements across Strike and your other exchanges and skip the 1099, or buy enough Bitcoin on Strike to match the bill pay in order to get a correct 1099?

I don't think I ever made an #introductions post, but since I'm doing a rebrand, now seems like as good of time as ever. I've been a professional software engineer for 10 years, and I have been doing it as a hobby for 16 years total. I got into #Bitcoin in 2013 and have my share of stories where I should be retired 100x over by now, but we live and learn. Hopefully I can share some of those stories at some point. These days, I'm starting to experience engineering burnout. While I'm grateful for having this as my career, spending day and night coding for this long takes its toll. A while back a coworker convinced me start learning how to produce #music, and it has been a game changer for me. Today I'm happy to share one of my tracks I'm working on to the public for the first time. I've shared my music with friends, but never to a wide audience. This is a dubstep/tearout/trench type of track so it's a pretty heavy headbanger, and I would love feedback on it from those who appreciate this kind of music. Anyone know of Bitcoin companies that are hiring? I’ve been a full stack web dev for 10 years now and am looking for a new opportunity and would love to break into the Bitcoin space. My passion is mostly around the frontend, but I do enjoy being able to build out full solutions by working on backend API’s and infrastructure changes as well.
