Feels like the global economy is getting repriced. The "oh AI can do real world shit" stage is here. Prices fall to the marginal cost of production don't they Jeff. I had a client say "wow this is amazing, we really appreciate your time and effort on this" - except it was only my creativity, AI did the effort. What are 95% of stonks worth in this environment?

Price doesn't move on weekends because futures aren't open, unless it's down. Down is fine.

With silver down almost 35% on the day, I have thoughts. We're forced to play this fiat musical chairs just to try to maintain our purchasing power. We're ALL forced to. Which means you better know what you're investing in otherwise you're chasing the latest pumping turd at the top of a parabola like every other clown when you would have been better off losing 10% to inflation per year instead. Maybe boomer money recovers immediately, maybe it takes a decade. You might need to hold what you own a lot longer than you think so don't hold a turd.

French take home pay vs total cost to the employer (productivity value). What an epic scam. image

A new Mustang GT V8 in France retails at €59,298. Taking into account their €80,000 co2 tax (yes you read that right) and all the other employer and employee taxes, you need to earn, wait for it....€470,000. To buy the same car in Dubai? €50,060. The drip, drip of taxes and debasement is now a flood that will drown anyone not paying attention.

Welcome to an up market national café chain at Paris Airport. Two sandwiches and water 25 EUR. You'll need to clear and wipe down your own table too. Plans for Dubai move in full swing. image

Your economic value is how long it would train someone to do your job. Fiat has conditioned everyone to think just because they do 40 hours a week they're entitled to a decent wage. If someone can walk in off the street (or boat) and do your job in an hour what are you really worth?

Second visit to Dubai. Makes UK & France look like the fwcking dark ages. There's such a large incentive to work, there's a massive supply of services. Nothing is full. Restaurants have tables, barber (choice of 4) had appointments, taxis take no more than 60 seconds. New projects being built all over the shop. Fwcking principles of economics at work. It's not even expensive, equivalent hotels and restaurants are cheaper. If you factor in tax free income, it's 50% cheaper still. You can see a vision, a future, pride in building something. No graffiti, no bums, no litter. Nobody asking you for change. Nobody trying to intimidate you. Feels chill & safe as fwck. Not even many lambos. Why's it like this? Because they don't have a sovereign debt bubble or high time preference dEmOcRaCY. It's really not hard. Allow people to work and let them keep most of what they earn. I wish the west would go back to this but until then we're going to need alternatives.
