Some nights I just feel bummed out for no specific reason. Usually nobody notices but my dog ALWAYS knows. Crazy how laying and hanging out with Maeve can put me in a better state of mind. I don't understand how some people don't like dogs.

A childhood friend and his wife lost a lot 2 days ago when their building caught fire. Both of them and their animals survived. One cat was found on the bathroom floor unconscious but still alive after an hour and recovered. Of anybody wants to help, I can post some information or zap this post and they'll be given the earnings. I know they need to replace some things and I assume they've now got some vet bills that broke them even more.

My wife has surgery in 2 days and I have been asking about using my available PTO to take a week away from work to help her out while she recovers. I'm tired of working and having to put off certain bills just to kind of live. Half my weekly pay goes just to food. I get to spend my weekend off looking for more work so I can pay $400 on the electricity bill I have had to put off the last few months so that I was able to pay rent. And my oldest daughter is taking drivers ed, so I'll also need to grow enough to find her a cheap yet safe vehicle to drive soon. Sometimes I wish that I was able to go back in time and make some better life choices when I was younger. Lately I've found myself sitting up late and dreading waking up to live another day of stress. Eventually these rough patches pass tho, so onward I go.

I kinda dig that Open Farm pet food allows you to trace all of the ingredients they use right back to the farms they came from. It's smaller kibble as well, so Maeve isn't able to eat it as quickly and is forced to pace herself. 1 cup of the Pasture-Raised Lamb kibble and a handful of the freeze-dried raw lamb crumbled on top seems to be a hit. She has wheat as well as poultry allergies, so finding food she likes can be a bit of a headache.
