Subtle vs Gross Energies with Respect to High Magick
The common approach to elemental magick is to gain mastery over the four gross elements, namely earth, air, water and fire and ultimately penetrate the fifth subtle element known as ether quintessential to practicing high magick, finding one’s “true will,” and communion with the Holy Guardian Angel. Ether, or aether, is a subtle energy that comprises and completes the pentagram known as Self and initiates the novice into high, or planetary, magick as he enters the tunnels of Set and faces his own “Sol” in Da’ath.
Ether is the doorway to high magick where manipulation of subtle and gross energies occurs and one bends his “own will” (watch out for the black brothers!) to that of his surroundings. Ether is where, when and how we achieve mind over matter, being in “the flow,” communion with HGA—-the ABRAHADABRA! The only thing we have to fear is fear itself (and the horror of Chronozon) that few survive due to the utter trials and tribulations in the third and final stage of da’ath.
The ether is the fifth point of the pentagram that creates the star of Self, hence every man and every woman is a star. Moreover, ether is directly connected to one’s head, or crown, where imperceptible Ain Soph Aur (The Boundless Light) awaits to unite with Aun (Nothing) in Keter. The only problem the novice will face in this union of opposites is the unrelenting crossing of the abyss that fine combs and pulls apart the thread of his very being, hence dissolution into the All. He will not be able to cross the abyss successfully until he traverses the Tunnels of Set where his sense of Self will be irrevocably transformed and transmuted by the purification of the black sun. Every intention, every character trait, all sense of ego and pride will be purged and that which remains is that which lives ON post Bab-Al-ON in this current age of Ma’at.
