I have thought a new kind of spam mitigation: "Sign-up to relay", it's the same concept where you enter your pubkey, but this time you don't need to pay, you just "sign it up". Most bots will not sign up, so it should mitigate most spam, and still, it is free for everyone. No paywalls to social networks /information. I'm currently working on it.

nostrgram.co by #[0] is the best client I've been able to test. It is fast, simple, beautiful and feature-plenty. Only thing it lacks, for me, is the ability to install it as a PWA (Progressive web app)!
