Opened the door from the house to the shop only to be greeted by what I thought was a raccoon. After turning on the lights I made the realization that it is not a raccoon but a porcupine.... I was not expecting that. I have never seen a porcupine. Not entirely sure what to do. It went and hid so I just opened the big door and blocked off various parts of the shop. I am hoping it can find it's way out by morning.

5 years ago I found / rescued this kitten. She was abandoned and living in the brush behind my neighbors house. Her name is Muffin and she was the most happiest, lovable & affectionate little derpy kitten ever. This has to be one of my favorite pictures I have of her. Sadly she passed away a few weeks later due to some health issues. She had seizures that would paralyze her and make her go lip for awhile. I did my best to get her help but unfortunately it was very hard to get a vet to see her during the pandemic. Despite the issues I did all I could to make sure she had a good life, even if it was very short. I miss you Muffin, you brought so much joy in a time where I was feeling very low. #catstr image

GM! According to Immich, 3 years ago I went with my buddy to his riding class. My brother and I convinced his brother to get his license the year prior and the 3 of us had some fun adventures. It was just a matter if time before we two wheeled him. The class was at an airport on part of the tarmac. It's such a neat place to practice your riding skills. Due to the location, we all had to be escorted through a gate that was locked behind us. I am glad he came around and joining in on the fun. Riding with friends has made the ride through life much more enjoyable. #gm #bikestr

GM! Went to a buddy's wedding last night and was given a cooler! Showed the bride that a bungie net can indeed hold just about anything. image

Welp, I just had my first accident on the bike... From my perspective the truck ran a red light as I was entering the turn. Fortunately I was already slowed down enough that it was just bump and the bike fell over fairly gracefully. I am OK, the bike is OK. Everything seems to be OK. I practically was able to hop off the bike as it went down. The front fender has a little scuff and the windscreen has a battle scar from hitting something. I am guessing it must of hit their mirror. Besides that I don't see any other damage. Stay safe out there. image

The motorcycle wave has become an instinctual habit whenever I pass another rider on the road. It has become so instinctual that catch myself wanting to wave to riders when I am in a car. A wave from a driver is not the same as a wave from another rider.

Good beautiful evening! This afternoon on my way into down I ended up joining a decent size group ride (8 or10 people) Where they were going, no idea. They all pulled over to the side of the road, probably waiting for the rest of the group to catch up. I passed and waved, made my turn only to look back and find everyone was following. I kept taking my turns to get to town and they made the same. I basically was leading the pack. When we got to a stop light they all turned. I thought about forgetting my plans for the day and just follow them wherever they were going but decided against it. Too much traffic to catch up. It's always fun to run into and join another rider or two but finding an entire group takes it to another level!

Gearing up to to start the ride to Overland Expo PNW! After several years of wanting to go, I finally found the time last year. Very impromptu, but totally worth it. I went with my good buddy and had a blast. This year we got the whole gang to go. On top of just riding down, we are making it a moto camping trip. Twice the fun, exponential amount of memories. Looking forward to all the adventures ahead!

Good beautiful morning nostriches! I am MotorradHODL. I thought I would get my feet wet by not being a nostr lurker and joining in the fun, sharing my motorcycle travel adventures (when they arise). I have been riding my motorcycles for 5 years now. It pulled me out of a very long slump and has provided me with a new appreciation on life. Riding brings me zen, joy and a sence of wonder to this world. A dream of mine is to travel around the world by motorbike. To explore and see what's out there. In the mean time however, I'll have to stick to weekend getaways, exploring my back yard. Remember to always stay humble, stack sats and ride your own ride.
