"Freedom of speech is being able to tell someone else something they don't want to hear."
"No matter what you say, someone is going to be offended."
"Once you realize that politicians are not altruistic, and that they're in politics for themselves and their own personal gain, then everything makes sense."
"No one is above the law."
"Have you ever met a poor politician?"
GM Nostr! Happy Tuesday!
Always nice to start your day with Nostr and all the GM wishes!
No better way to enjoy a cup of coffee!

GM Nostr! Happy NMonday!
Another week, another coffee, another zap (or two...or threee...)
(I think three should be spelled with the extra "e"...kind of like onomatopoeia with letters...)

GM Nostr! Happy Sunday!
Naomi has a good video out on "I have nothing to hide"...worth watching over a cup of coffee sometime today...

Worth reading through... 😃
Some really interesting facts, and a different perspective from how we look at Christmas in the US. (Really like going door-to-door as the 3 kings...)

GM Nostr! Happy Saturday!
So gave up on the prototype "pretty" UI for the T-Deck and went bact to the stock #meshtastic firmware (at least for the time being).
The UI was amazing, but just not stable enough (biggest problem for me was if it was turned off (or reset--easy to do with the T-Deck) it couldn't send messages--well, they get sent and you get an ACK back, but messages never show up on the remote devices. The only way to solve this that I found is to receive a message on the T-Deck first--and once that message is received you can then send messages. I also couldn't connect to the T-Deck with the Meshtastic phone app - could only connect via a serial connection to Meshtastic web, and even that was buggy. (So really hard to change settings--espeically GPS which is not part of the prototype UI).
The stock firmware does not exhibit these behaviors, so I'll stick with that as it's simply more usable. Still love the T-Deck though--the keyboard makes it a true stanalone unit, which is what makes Meshtastic a compelling technology.
Time for coffee after writing such a long post...

GM Nostr! Happy Friday!
Finally(!) received my Lily Go T-Deck for #meshtastic in the mail (took about 2 weeks).
Have to say the wait was worth it--really nice device, with a full keyboard. Going to flash a new UI today that everyone is talking about, but even without that, it's definitely the way to go. Having a keyboard really removes the need for a partner device (although you can still use it if you'd like).
Going to need more coffee today as I'll probably be playing with this all day...

GM Nostr! Happy Thursday!
Weekend almost here...that's gotta be worth a few zaps don't ya think?
(And a cup 'o Joe)

GM Nostr! Happy Wednesday!
Should(!) be getting some packages in the mail I've been waiting some time for...crossing my fingers! (Always nice to finally get some deliveries).
While I wait, nothing better than coffee...so...time to send zaps.

GM Nostr! Happy Sunday!
Stayed pretty cold yesterday (so much for that great forecast).
No idea how meterologists stay in business...especially the "50% chance of rain" forecasts...that basically means you have no idea what's going to happen...
I think there's a 90% chance that I'll finish this cup of coffee before it gets cold...
(I think that's worth a $100K salary, don't you?)

GM Nostr! Happy Friday!
It's the end of the week, so think I'll celebrate by sending zaps while I'm drinking my coffee!
(Finally got the Christmas tree up yesterday!)
Trying this again...getting a "failed to publish note" message....

GM Nostr! Happy Sunday!
Going to put up Christmas decorations today--always a fun day.
WIll need some coffee though...and need to send some zaps first.

GM Nostr! Happy Tuesday!
Thinking of adding a Lilygo T-Deck to my #meshtastic nodes. Completely self-contained (so no secondary device needed).
