I had an interesting conversation today with a friend who doesn’t like Bitcoin. He posed a difficult question. How will #bitcoin solve the “Monopoly Problem”? In the board game, one person ends up having all the money. And it seems there is game theory to back this up… in situations like this, with enough time, someone (or thing) owns everything. Since #bitcoin is decentralized (which I love) there is almost no way to regulate that. What if in the future one malicious man (because people with that much ambition often have dark-tetrad qualities) or, even worse, a government owns everything? That would eliminate competition and the free market. We’d all be living in a “Potter’s Vill” that we can’t escape from! Has anyone thought about this and has a good solution or answer? #asknostr

My biggest NOSTR question: Since there is no algorithm (which I love), how do you go about discovering new people and having new people discover you and your work?

Since I’m young, poor, but ambitious I try to remind myself that it isn’t as much fun being rich as it is fun trying to become rich! The common cliche “the journey is what matters” rings true, but I think it better put by Emerson:

The Greek root of the word “scholar” means “leisure.” When you think of it, all of society’s greatest inventions are the result of leisure. There is no Art or Innovation if there is no leisure. Creative vision is mostly given on walks in nature, in conversation, or when reading something great. This can’t be forgotten! Our culture has become obsessed with the Work that built the Creativity of the past, and has neglected to see that Work without Vision granted during Leisure is Useless!

Action and movement are indicative of health. Rumination and overthinking are signs of a bad mind and soul. This Fugazi lyric has always stuck with me and it reminds me to stay engaged with Reality!
