I swear to god one time I sent @jack mallers $5 on Strike and he doubled it and sent it back with "๐โก๐" as the description ๐
This is not financial advise, but I love that guy.

As someone experimenting with ditching my KYC ISP to live off of mobile hotspot, I am realizing that the Windows 10 and 11 OS use a criminal amount of data, even with updates disabled and on 'metered connection' mode. Like 7.8GB in the last 5 days. WTF is windows up to?!
In theory an NAS should just be a private nostr relay, a bitcoin node, and a file storage syncing service with version history
Individual app backends should not be needed if we create the frontends to use Nostr and Bitcoin properly.
Etar, but with nostr calendar events and contacts
InnerTune, but with nostr playlists, liked songs lists
Standard Notes but with nostr notes
Organic Maps, with Nostr saved places
Newpipe with Nostr subscription lists and playlists
Obtainium with Nostr App lists and Configurations
Just NOSTRize it all so we can do the 12 words in our brain to recover our whole life thing
The sheer amount of work I will do to avoid another subscription is probably unfathomable to the average person lol. This month I got rid of my home ISP ($110)
I've been using mobile hotspot data instead
I literally goto places with free internet to download dozens of Steam games to my Steam Deck, then bring it home and transfer them peer to peer on a local router.
