Remember the scene in Big Bang Theory where Sheldon and Penny stare into each other‘s eyes for several minutes without talking? Did you ever try it with someone? It‘s scary, but also very nice, warm and human. I wonder if an app for that would do the same trick.. randomly or selectively pairing people together, no sound, no chat, just a video call with the timer set..

“There’s no nice way to do research. It’s dirty all the time.” Sometimes I come for drumming talks and then end up with life wisdom. It makes perfect sense that when doing research, I often don’t know what I’m actually looking for. So there are detours and dead ends along the way that can make the researcher frustrated, or in my case, make me feel like I struggle because I don’t know the proper research formula. But yeah, research is always dirty, by design.
