Affiliate links turning into community
You’re running a conference and you’re giving away affiliate links with a10 % discount, which then flood social media and I have to listen about it a thousand times from people I follow.
Build a single-page (community.eventname.com) that lists all affiliate links in one place.
And stop calling it affiliate. Now you’re building a community, instead of discount mechanism.
🤙🏻 As a brand of the conference, you show the people and projects you decided to support by giving them the links. It’s like your business contact list - public version. It’s good for relationships.
🤙🏻 From attendee perspective, I usually use the promo code from smaller creators or projects, but I may not know all of them. This way I can screen the list and discover an interesting project or person. Good for relationships.

I’ve used the words government, fiat, taxes, and inflation so many times in recent years that it’s a miracle I still have any friends left.
I‘m getting tired of being a bitcoiner this way.
To my future self - more show, less tell…
You know how there is this movie Atonement (Joe Wright, 2007) that is generally known as pretty good romance, even for dudes..
So is there a book like this? Meaning romance first, but written so well, that guy would tell another guy about it..?
