Do you actively use any P2P markets? I’m about to get rid of a bunch of stuff, from books to guitars, but all those SAT markets feel so dead… #asknostr image

This is nice! 📸 🛰️ Upload your photo, and it will be displayed on a screen in space. The screen will then be photographed with Earth in the background - your photo in space! Your waiting time will probably be about a year, but still… so nice! 😁 https://space.crunchlabs.com/

As someone who used to use the Airbnb platform several times a year, I’ve noticed a clear decline in the quality of service - both from hosts and from the platform itself when support is needed. But the level of gaslighting I experienced over the past few days was something entirely new to me. It left me seriously considering whether I should stop using the platform altogether. I remember during covid, economists predicted that the side effects of the crisis would appear years later - and that a drop in service quality would be one of them (which we already see in gastro for some time now). So I guess this is it. I’m always trying to improve my services as I raise my prices, because that feels like the right and natural thing to do. I just can’t understand people who go like - my costs are rising, so here is my shitty and overpriced service - and be grateful I’m even still offering it. F that. Here is a nice pic as an apology to you to have to witness my frustration. 😁 image

What to do in RIGA 🇱🇻 If you’re coming to Baltic Honeybadger and have some spare time, here are my recommendations. 🎨 🛢️ 🐀 Part 4: The Mystery of Banksy - A Genius Mind Now this is something you just want to experience. A corridor-style exhibition showcasing highlights of Banksy’s work, where visitors move through immersive scenes that include not only the artwork but also the physical context in which it originally appeared. I don’t think this needs any more cheerleading. It’s Banksy, man. At the end of the tour, you’ll be able to recreate Banksy’s art yourself - there are stencils and spray paints ready for use to customize your own clothes or whatever. The tickets are €18 (Mon–Fri) or €20 (Sat–Sun) if you book online in advance - which I recommend, as there are time slots. 👉🏻 Tip: If you’re a sensitive soul, maybe don’t plan a romantic evening afterwards. I’ve been familiar with the activist side of Banksy’s work for a long time, but seeing it all together in one place is something else. All those social issues reflected in his art threw me off balance for the rest of the day... 📍 Vidzeme Market Brivibas Street 90A, Riga LV-1001 mystery-banksy.lv/en

What to do in RIGA 🇱🇻 If you’re coming to Baltic Honeybadger and have some spare time, here are my recommendations. 🚆 🌊 🛥️ Part 3: Jūrmala - beach, park and promenade Jūrmala is a town about 25 km from Riga and THE place to experience the Baltic Sea. You can get there by train, which leaves Riga’s main station every 30 minutes. One ride costs just €2. The journey takes about half an hour. After getting off at Majori station, you’ll walk along a lovely promenade with plenty of cafés and restaurants (my favorite is Grill&Fish Jomas Terase). If you're more into nature, jump off one stop earlier at Dzintari. From there, a beautiful forest park leads you straight to the sea. The beach in Jūrmala is a great place to chill. You'll find beach bars, outdoor workout spot, volleyball courts, and more. The water is a bit chilly and shallow, so you’ll need to walk tens of meters in before you can really swim - but it’s part of the fun. 🛥️ Tip: If you feel adventurous, take a boat from Riga to Jūrmala. The trip takes about 2 hours and costs €20. The river and its surroundings are full of big ass industrial machines you don’t see every day. Look for River boat "ELIZABETE" on rivercruises.lv

What to do in RIGA 🇱🇻 If you’re coming to Baltic Honeybadger and have some spare time, here are my recommendations. ☕️🕹️🧃 Part 2: Enjoy the Game Enjoy the Game is a gaming store in the centre of Riga that also houses a video-game museum. Entry to the museum section is €10, and inside you’ll find true gems from the history of gaming. And it’s not just for looking - several consoles are plugged in and ready to play. You can fire up the classic Donkey Kong, Capcom’s Final Fight from 1989, or battle some aliens in Atari’s Defender II, just to name a few. The tour (which isn’t really a tour, it’s only one room) is self-guided and you can spend as much time as you want. If you’re coming with a partner who’s not really into video games, there are several second hands and vintage shops (Humana, Northern Grip Vintage Store,…) on the same street. That should buy you some time. ☺️ Enjoy the Game K. Barona iela 41/43, Rīga vgl.lv

What to do in RIGA 🇱🇻 If you’re coming to Baltic Honeybadger and have some spare time, here are my recommendations. 🏰 🌳 ☕ Part 1: City center & parks Riga is a beautiful historic city - and bonus, it’s not huge. You can see the old town, chill in a few parks, and hit some cute little cafés all in a single day. There are a bunch of nice parks right in the middle of the town, but if you’ve got some time or you’re the person who enjoys nature more than the city, Mežaparks is the ultimate chill spot. If the weather’s decent, you can swim in the lake around the park. You can rent a bike or rollerblades to explore the park, and paddleboard or pedal boat to cruise the lake. Mežaparks will take around 15-20 mins from the city center by public transport. If you’re looking for drinks and a good vibe, head to Tallinas Ielas Kvartāls - a hip, slightly chaotic mix of bars, food spots, and random cool stuff. For something more romantic, check out Parunāsim kafe’teeka, located in a former church complex in the city center. This café feels like it was pulled straight out of Hogsmeade. Highly recommended if you’re traveling with your partner.
