Less than a week left in BC. I’m scaling back my daily walks on the mountain to just the first bench so I don’t wear out my right foot before the 3 miles needed to walk through through the airports. Some of the graphic novels from the library I read this week … 1. Covenant - much better than I thought it would be. Interested to read the next one. 2. The Well - enjoyed the story and art of this one a lot. May buy a copy when I get home. 3. The Circle Series - didn’t finish Black. Finished a grid of 3 in x 3 in (7.62 cm x 7.62 cm) collages after watching Margarete Miller video - highly recommend her if you want to get into paper collage -> https://m.youtube.com/c/MargareteMiller Really like how these came out. Different yet cohesive. Second photo is the 3 papers I started with from my mom’s junk mail and the focal points I pulled from a 1974 Webster’s illustrated dictionary. Rest of the photos show the process a using a Stabilo All Black pencil to scribble, then brush with water, to create the background… which is why the paper is so warped as it’s meant for sketching not mixed media. Going to try and flatten the collages under some heavy books this afternoon. #rustypuppyart #paper #collage #art #artstr
