I drew the concept sketch for my mixed media art in Procreate today. This concept is what I’ll grid out and transfer to the 24” x 30” canvas (future notes). For this note, I wanted to share my process… 1. The inspiration photo from my friend 2. Sharing Past Art… One of the mixed media 1920s French Fashion nostriches I created for last year’s Nostrich November art challenge. I drew the nostrich based on a vintage fashion catalog. Printed and colored her with Copic markers. Then added her to an 8” x 10” art board, with a background of collage and acrylic paint, with Art Deco patterns. The text is a French translation of the copy on the Nostrich November website, printed on tissue paper.
