this morning i saw an ambulance screaming and hurtling down the wrong side of the road. never see that before but i guess it makes sense ish
rebellion is not independence
the opposite of being a follower is not being a rebel
every rule has its inverse-breaking every rule is the same as following a new set of rules
true independence is falling into neither trap, defending an untouchable headspace that is 100% genuine
certainty is a mark of ignorance
i switched my default reaction to a purple heart
i should do more stuff like this

this morning i saw a dog get hit by a car.
at like the first light less than a block away from my house this dog (with a collar) ran across the crosswalk an got clipped at an oblique angle and collapsed and didn’t move again.
i swear everybody at the intersection was holding their breath
cars drove unhesitatingly over it, not crushing it beneath their tires, but just gliding over the top of it enough to make its long fur blow in the wind.
a woman on the other side of the intersection at the front of the line actually held up traffic and walked into the intersection and carried the dog off the road. i half expected her to get hit herself.
while she blocker her side of the intersection, i took my opportunity to make my left turn.
i’m not 100% sure if the dog was dead, it was certainly at least unconscious. it was “clipped” by the car that hit it and did not pass under any tires.
the whole episode was horrifying to watch, i wonder why we generally don’t feel the same way about a squirrel or an opossum.
i suppose they usually don’t have collars or owners.
every so often drawing for fun is very rewarding. i never really get in a consistent habit of it tho. this was a christmas card
