Part of me is hopeful that big tech platforms will respond in a reasonable way when we ask them not to enforce KYC and digital ID, but a much larger part knows they will continuously use the state of exception to take more power regardless of what we do. The centralized nature of their business case requires them to be compliant with authorities.
The clearest answer to me is to use a permissionless open source tech stack that can't be used in this way.
The more they push the more we pull.
