Despite what many rage addicts seem to believe at the moment, it is possible to be glad that Maduro is out and also completely distrust Trump's intentions πŸ™

The most salient lesson I've taken from this situation with Venezuela is that the sovereignty of a courty means almost nothing without a functional military and specifically nuclear weapons. I'm still working my way through Soft War. It's obvious that 'might makes right' doesn't offer a comprehensive moral framework, but if physical conflict is ignored or neglected everything we own is ours only by the grace of those who choose not to take it away.

Stanislav Grof is a psychotherapist who conducted over 5,000 LSD sessions with patients since the compound was discovered by Albert Hoffman. He has written numerous books about his discoveries. I will summarize the broad take aways for those who are interested. Human psychology can be categorized into three levels: 1. Psychodynamic - Events which occur during our lifetime 2. Perinatal - The embodied memory of the birth experience 3. Transpersonal - Intellectual, emotional, and spiritual content beyond the individuated human ego (pre-birth / after-death) Two and three might sound far out, but they are the only proposals I have seen in the field of psychology which even begin to address a holistic understanding of human psychology. The perinatal in particular is very interesting. Most doctors and laymen have concluded out of ignorance or indoctrination that people do not remember their experiences in the womb or during birth. From a Christian perspective, life begins at conception so this should be no surprise to Christians. Stans research profoundly supports that assertion. The perinatal process is broken into four segments: BPM (Basic Perinatal Matricies) 1 - The infant is in the womb and experiencing oneness with mother and the universe. Does not have any conception of individuality. If the mother is healthy and happy this is a joyful experience. If the mother is stressed or otherwise unhealthy it can feel like swimming in toxic sludge. BPM 2 - Contractions begin. There is an overwhelming feeling of 'no escape' and being crushed. This experience is often accompanied by mental images of sharp tallons or tentacles and other constrictive experiences. Images of rooms with the walls slowly closing in can trigger this deeply ingrained experience of the birth process. BPM 3 - This is when the cervix opens and an exit is visible. The feeling of helplessness is replaced by a tremendous struggle for survival. The challenge of leaving the womb is death defying for both the mother and the child. Images which appear in association with this process can vary widely, but generally have an apocalyptic tone. BPM 4 - Freedom and separation. Depending upon the environment into which an infant is born and subsequently treated this experience can be vastly different. For many people unfortunately their first physical memories as an individual are in a cold room with bright lights and people in masks. Alien abduction experiences have a lot in common with these types of memories. Every individual unconsciously carries these experiences with them throughout their lives, but can integrate (let go of) them using specific breath practices or through the carefully controlled use of LSD in therapy. The hangups people experience in the various BPM are reflected in their lives. There are many examples of this in Stan's books. Many experiences in everyday life can be mapped onto this system. I believe what we are experiencing globally is a symbolic rebirth process. Each of us will experience it uniquely. I believe a majority of bitcoiners are in BPM3 currently, but many have made it through to BPM4, though I'm not sure if these stages are fully static. I may have more to say on this in the future so I will use this post as a reference. I'm still learning about this even after many years and my understanding could be incomplete or incorrect, but I know there is real value in Stan's work, which has largely been ignored due to the controversial nature of his work. Thanks for reading πŸ™
