I just had an interesting conversation with an Australian guy who was in favor or linking IDs to all online interaction. Outside of that moment we were pretty well ideologically aligned on so I was surprised to hear him say that. It turned out he just didn't believe the Internet could be orderly without corporate or government controls. Purple pilling can run deep. He probably won't join nostr, but his perspective shifted somewhat once I explained voluntary WoT and told him about nostr. What we are participating in here matters.

This week was the first time I posted a picture on nostr, had someone recognize where I posted from, and then reach out to hang out locally. I'm on a small island in Thailand right now so it's pretty amazing when I stop to think about it. Nostr is coming alive.
