If we imagine the most extreme scenario, in which every node runner is a power user and they write their own implementation, that would be the most decentralized option. As long as each node respects the essential network rules they will still function. Would this be better than everyone running the same software?

If there's anything I've learned over the years regarding Bitcoin it's that purchasing it with any expectation of a certain price within the next year or two is a foolish move.
