I did a post about the purpose of slow practice in Tai Chi. โ€˜Long Jinโ€™ is a skill developed through practicing VERY slowly. In essence Tai Chi is a mind body practice where mind or โ€˜Yiโ€™ becomes a primary driver of the art. Yi also roughly translates as intention or will. Long Jin means releasing tension from the foot all the way through the body and out to the finger tips. Or in other words moving the mind or focus sequentially through the body becoming acutely aware of each part - foot, ankle, calf, knee, thigh, hips, lower torso, upper torso, arms, hands and fingers. And releasing each place as much as possible. This process creates a pathway for power or โ€˜Jinโ€™ to mobilise in the body. And it has to be done slowly for that pathway to build properly so there are no blocks or kinks. Ultimately the mind must penetrate and saturate the whole body - a skill which develops over time. It was around 18 years before I started to practise this way and it is a hard taskmaster. Zhan Zhuang - โ€˜Standing practiceโ€™ Many Tai chi schools utilise standing as a fundamental practice. So why and for what purpose? ๐Ÿค” Well itโ€™s a deep subject and not all Tai Chi practitioners agree or even believe that the practice has any real value. However it has been in existence for hundreds if not thousands of years. My experience is that it is a powerful exercise if done seriously and correctly. It trains a number of things. At the basic level - posture, alignments, and will power. At the next level it trains โ€˜sungโ€™ - the ability to release under pressure and โ€˜tingโ€™ - the ability of the mind to penetrate deep into the body to be aware of what is happening. Why move slowly in Tai Chi? ๐Ÿค” Well the slow movement can be far more challenging. It places more strain on the body and mind forcing the practitioner to feel every inch of where he holds tension in his body. When the discomfort becomes too much he must find โ€˜sungโ€™ and release that tension. Sung and Ting are the two primary skills being cultivated. Imaging doing a set of ten squats. Now do them at quarter speed feeling every tiny part of the movement. Do not allow the mind to dissociate, stay fully present however uncomfortable that is. Over time the body becomes stronger and more released, more robust and flexible. The mind becomes calmer under pressure. Through many repetitions the movements will become more fluid but maintain the power that was built in the slow practice. ๐Ÿ™ #TaiChi #grownostr #plebchain image

So my slightly strange journey into Bitcoin started in 2012. Quick disclaimer- I didnโ€™t make it rich. ๐Ÿ™„ Essentially what happened was that I got into Bitcoin and then Litecoin and inadvertently ended up running a Bitcoin node but really had no idea what I was doing. I had technical problems and computer issues, lost my LTC and ended up spending my BTC on gift cards but canโ€™t for the life of me remember what i spent those on! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I then left the space entirely and didnโ€™t get back in until 2021 during the bull market. I played around with some shit coins but didnโ€™t really get orange pilled until early 2022. ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŒ… The crazy thing is that despite all my time wasting weโ€™re still early! Mass adoption is around the corner and bitcoin is really the only serious option as money. โšก๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™ #plebchain
