Was recently contacted by an old client that is a pretty successfull and wealthy inventor in his seventies, that now would like to get in to "tokenization"... Told him to just buy and hold #bitcoin in self-custody and that we do NOT participate in immoral shitcoin games designed with the single purpose of scamming people out of their hard earned bitcoin. These kind of requests was quite frequent around 2016-2017 when the ICO scams first ran rampant. At the same time as the bitcoin market globally grows every cycle, the collective market-IQ will continue to decrease. Nevertheless, after each cycle invaluable lessons will be learned and the net amount of hard-permissionless-money fundamentalists will continue to raise from the ashes and increase in numbers.

Been daily driving these IR-Pair (dark) from Reflectacles for a few weeks now and they are really great stealthy privacy-preserving sunglasses. The lenses are made with green optical filters that absorb the near IR spectrum and efficiently block IR facial recognition technology from reading your iris and efficiantly getting a lock on your face image Pros: - Build quality is pristine and they look great - IR blocking privacy lenses work great and everything looks very bright, crisp and clear with enhanced sense of depth perception - Look and function like normal sunglasses, very efficiant at blocking the sun - The CNC’ed cellulose acetate frame is hypoallergenic - Can purchase with Bitcoin Cons: - Everything will look very green. This might be a showstopper for some - The frame on this model is non ir-reflective so it does not provide any additional obfuscation - Slightly smaller size than I normally prefer #Privacy

6-7 months ago my phone accidentally broke. It contained a android @OpenSecret PWA with 1 or 2 open LSP channels and a combined balance of around 200 - 300k sats. Do have the 12 word seed backed up, and probably one of the last channel backups. Will the LSP channels by now have been forced closed and swept back to on-chain? Should it be safe to restore it to a new device by using ONLY the seed word backup? #asknostr

Prusa MK4 upgrade kit fully assembled and printed perfectly on the first try! So far really impressed with the DIY upgradability and printing speed almost double as fast as previous gen ⚡ it does not require ANY form of manual calibration 🙏 image The new LED display setup wizard with HW selftest diagnostics and the colored status RGBs is also great. image Now just need to figure out how to integrate the Octoprint rpi server /w cameras for remoting and monitoring etc in local LAN/VPN. image #Prusa #FOSS

So saddened to hear the news of the death of US journalist Gonzalo Lira — abandoned by US state dept and all western journalists to be silenced, tortured and killed in Ukranian jail for the crime of peacfull journalism. He explained accounts of previous torture and extortion in jail in his August youtube videos. Two days ago his 80 year old father pleeded in desperation for his release or transfer to hospital for lifesaving treatment. He explained he was close to dying from pnumonia and a collapsed lung, that he initially contracted in jail in October of last year and was continously denied treatment. He had two small children in Ukraine so he did not want to leave and he would not let himself be silenced from reporting on what he saw. This could only happen cause socity allowed the ongoing torture and slow killing of Julian Assange to play out in silence. https://image.nostr.build/ec09921cd693cc1e708555beed282fee30a9091c9d6873597526c39a0b74fb16.jpg#m=image%2Fjpeg&dim=630x420&blurhash=rIGIDb%252_LD%259F%25LtQofof%7EBR*o%7DRkM%7CofWCj%5BkBaLbHNHoKxZbHayj%5Bj%5B%251WCS2jZn%25bHbHWBWBxZWVNHoee.kBofWBjtoLj%5BW%3Bays.bHWCjtjZ&x=1910bffbb7ff7daced8b3bf77dca82bc53d55911360d3f2f99472f7f2d874a89

Made my first Nostr account one year ago today. It's been truly inspiring to experience all the developers build — and the helpful community grow this protocol in to an enclave of freedom and decency without centralised algo's fueling hate and division. Very excited for what the next year will bring. Thank you all for being a part of making this possible 🙏

This year, every time major cracks in the banking system reveal itself, my fiat bank seem to have this high system-risk counter-measures system implemented – where they send out emails to customers suggesting to deposit money and lock it up for 2 years with fixed interest. They sent out one on the Sunday in the weekend during the SVB collapse. And they just sent me one again yesterday. Assume it is in relation to the risk surrounding the UBS liquidity issues (the Swiss bank that recently absorbed Credit Suisse). Shit-fiat alert system.
